Manu Agnihotri, Director

Manu is passionate about working with marginalized communities across the globe. She believes that Worldly Goods is the ideal organization for her because its fair-trade mission aligns with her core values. Her unwavering passion lies in working hand in hand with artisans from all walks of life to empower them and promote their sustainable livelihoods. With a deep understanding and appreciation for diverse cultures, Manu is committed to fostering fair and ethical partnerships that benefit both the artisans and their communities. She loves learning about the unique stories of farmers and artisans who create amazing products and is excited to share those stories with the Ames community and beyond. Before joining Worldly Goods, Manu held several leadership positions at local nonprofit organizations. She currently co-chairs the organizing committee for the local AAPI Heritage Annual Celebration and serves as a commissioner on the Public Art Commission of the City of Ames. Additionally, she remains actively involved with the Story County Immigrant and Refugee Collaboration, and the Story County Hunger Collaboration through the United Way of Story County. Manu is an avid reader and a strong proponent of early childhood literacy and continues volunteering for the Raising Readers in Story County program. Manu is grateful to work alongside the enthusiastic staff and dedicated volunteers who share her passion for promoting fair trade. Her goal is to raise awareness about Worldly Goods’ fair-trade mission through store products and community engagement.
