 The success of Worldly Goods depends upon many volunteers who give their time and talent. You can become a part of this exciting endeavor! New volunteers are always welcome - just fill in the application below and we will contact you soon!

 Sales Associate Responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist customers.
  • Sell handmade crafts.
  • Answer questions about Worldly Goods mission and Fair Trade.
  • Tell customers who the artisans are, how products are made, and their country of origin.
  • Keep up to date with current floor layout and new items.
  • Assist with opening/closing store.

Other volunteer opportunities include:

  • Off-site sales, including International Week at Iowa State University and Alternative Gift Market.
  • Special Events: Downtown Art Walk.
  • Store and window displays.
  • Inventory and unpacking.
  • Advisory Committee.
  • Product repair.
  • Store maintenance and recycling.
  • Newsletters.


Volunteer Commitment:

  • Volunteer six to nine hours per month at Worldly Goods store.
  • Attend education and sales training .
